Insecurity & Internal Struggles
Sep 20, 2022I'm gonna switch up my demeanor today.
I talk A LOT about taking personal responsibility & being accountable, but today, I want to discuss a concerning topic.
The topic is: Insecurity & internal struggles
I know you've felt the self-doubt, depression, imposture syndrome, criticism from others, etc.
And it's not fun to deal with, especially when you face it week-by-week-by-week in business.
So I want to bring something to mind that has personally helped me.
As Alex Hormozi talks about in this video (https://buff.ly/3xqYdur), there are 3 common traits of the most successful people.
1. They have a superiority complex - they think they can do better things than other people.
2. They have impulse control - they're able to stay committed for the long term, not just the short term.
3. They have crippling insecurity of not being enough.
So, why do I mention these traits?
Because of trait #3 - crippling insecurity.
If you're a high achiever, there's a solid chance that you regularly don't feel good enough.
• You don't feel successful enough.
• You feel like you're failing.
• You feel like you're not good enough for the people around you.
• You feel like your prospects don't NEED you
And I want to bring awareness to this way of thinking because MANY of us struggle with it in some form or another.
If it's something you struggle with, go ahead and give yourself a pat on the back.
Why? Because even if you aren't exactly where you want to be, I bet you're MILES ahead of where you were at 1-2 years ago, and that says something.
"Success" is progress.
Or as Earl Nightingale puts it, "Success is the progressive realization of a worthy goal."
So, even if you're not at your end destination, if you ARE making progress, you ARE doing a GOOD job.
And I'm proud of you.
Keep your chin up, and reach out to me if you ever need anything - I'm here for you.
